Robert S Elam, DDS, MAGD
Robert S. Elam did his undergraduate studies at George Peabody College earning a BS in Biology in 1975. He earned his D.D.S. degree from Meharry Medical College in 1980. He is a member of the Nashville Dental Society, the Tennessee Dental Association, the Tennessee Academy of General Dentistry, the Tennessee Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
He holds the membership designation of "Fellow" and the prestigious "Master" of the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also Immediate Past-President of the Tennessee Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Elam has a Conscious Sedation License and he and his assistants have Advanced Cardiac Life Support certificates. He is Adjunct Professor of Restorative Dentistry at Meharry Medical College and was voted 2007 "Best of Nashville" Dentist of the year by "The Scene" Magazine.
Dr. Elam's practice emphasis is comprehensive Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry, but he enjoys all types of Dentistry from Orthodontics using "invisible" braces to Dentures to "Sleep Dentistry". He says: "Sleep Dentistry has helped so many people to improve their Dental and General health. It's a great way to have your dental work done without having to be "in the moment".
Bob and his wife, Kathy, have two children, Libby and Buck. They attend Christ Church Cathedral and play tennis at Seven Hills Club. Bob is an avid Bass fisherman and dabbles in woodworking.
